Editor, Writer, and Content Producer from the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand. Managing Editor of Cheezburger, Lead Editor of Fail Blog, and Memebase. Long-time member of the site, contributing since 2016 on Geek Universe, Memebase, and Fail Blog.
After studying internet culture and memes while distracted from university lectures, I joined Cheezburger, first running Geek Universe and then Memebase before finally settling on Fail Blog. At that point, Fail Blog was all about classic “fails,” but has since become more about how the internet intersects with our everyday lives at home andout and about in the world, especially in the workplace.
I enjoy keeping up with the current landscape of employment discussions online, as it applies both in the United States and globally. I enjoy writing about how the landscape of the internet and pop culture are influenced by current employment, economic, and workplace issues.
I have grown particularly fond of exploring the impacts technology is having on our lives, creativity, and productivity, and I actively pursue search trends to stay up to date with the latest changes.
I have an interest in and approximate knowledge of many things, but have a particular love for nature and the outdoors, which is great for getting outside and touching grass after spending most of the week online plugged into the internet.
I also love music and have an obsessive appreciation for both progressive rock and the melodic and progressive genres of house and techno. When I’m not writing or outside, I spend most of my free time pursuing musical interests.
My favorite author is, and remains, J.R.R. Tolkien—unoriginally and unapologetically.
