Brad Dickson

Managing Editor of Cheezburger
Editor, Writer, and Content Producer with a mixed upbringing in the grand ol' Pacific Northwest and New Zealand—of all places. Managing Editor of Cheezburger and long-time member of the site, contributing to Fail Blog since 2016. After studying internet culture and memes while distracted from university lectures, I joined Cheezburger, first running Geek Universe and then Memebase before finally settling on Fail Blog. At that point, Fail Blog was all about classic “fails,” but I’ve tried to shape the section and the site into covering more about how the internet intersects with our everyday lives at home, out and about, and in the workplace. I enjoy keeping up with the current landscape of employment issues, both in the United States and globally, and I enjoy writing about how the landscape of the internet and pop culture are shaped by current employment, economic, and workplace issues.

I have an interest in and approximate knowledge of many things, but have a particular love for nature and the outdoors. This is great for getting outside and touching grass after spending the majority of the week online and hooked into the comings and goings of trending internet discourse. I also love music and have an obsessive appreciation for both progressive rock and the melodic and progressive genres of house and techno. When I’m not writing or outside, I spend most of my free time pursuing musical interests. My favorite author is, and remains, J.R.R. Tolkien—unoriginally and unapologetically.
