Ohai Julie - how are you and the Sons of Thunder? I haven't been on here much for quite awhile. I think I'm starting to get carpal tunnel so I've Been trying to avoid too much time on the computer to compensate. No fun. :-( Hope all is well with you!
Oh, if only Pepper would let me put a cute little costume on her, LOL. I just got back from a second trip within three weeks and she's been glued to me. My husband says she was really cranky during the second trip. It's nice to know I'm missed. ;-)
The defenses have been breached! :-o One of Pepper's suitors somehow managed to nick the edge of the door with a scent mark shot. He had to have gone under some stacked chairs and behind a plastic bin that partially blocks the non-opening side of the sliding door. Ugh. He/they have hit the front door a few times now, too. --Sigh--
Ohai Julie! How've you been? Pepper misses her boifrend Waylon. She's had several visitors lately but her daddeh may have come up with a good solution. He built a big frame out of 2x2s, stapled two layers of chicken wire to it and laid it in front of the glass door. So far (knock on wood) it's foiling the visitors from scent marking which is awesome! :-)
Ooh, bunny frolics! I love that! The first few years in our house we used to have lots of them in the neighborhood. There's less of them now but most summers we still have one or two living under our deck. One time one was lounging in the back yard and let out this big yawn - so cute! Pepper is fine although we had a bit of a fright about her last week. I noticed a big black bump inside her ear flap and I practically had a nervous breakdown about what it could be, but fortunately it's not anything serious. The vet says it's a type of melanoma but in cats & dogs melanomas are usually benign as long as they're not near mucous membranes, and black cats are more prone to them because they have more skin pigmentation. I was SO relieved! We still have to keep an eye on it and measure it once in awhile to make sure it doesn't grow excessively, but the vet is pretty comfortable that it won't change much further. WHEW. Didn't need that stress, lol. She sends a headbonk and smooches to her boyfriend Waylon.
I'm sorry to hear your husband hurt himself but happy that Waylon & Willie are enjoying it, LOL! Nothing like a kitteh on the lap to make someone feel better. Must be something about that hospital smell - last summer my husband had some minor outpatient surgery and when we got home Pepper had to give him the sniff test all over, too.

Hey Julie - how are you? Ready for Christmas? :-o I think I'm more looking forward to having next week off work. I realized recently that the last time I had a "recharge the batteries" week off was LAST Christmas! Yikes!

ROFL! Ah, the rude awakening that girls and boys are different, LOL! Maybe it's the start of a beautiful romance! Poor Willie. At least he has his brother to console him. You'll have to let me know how he does the next time you try to take him for a walk. ;-)
Merci beaucoup! Wow - 3.5 weeks is a loooong time to be away from home. I bet the boys missed him. I've been thinking about getting the Maru book too, he's so gosh darn adorable, and such a ham! I wonder if Pepper would get jealous....
