Oh, girl, I KNOW the feeling of being the Evil Medicine Giver, and it made my heart break when my little Finney was so sick. My heart is with you, my friend. And I hope hope hope that the turkey method works for Ripper. I'd smush up the pill and sprinkle a little bit of the pill on each small piece of turkey. Four bits of turkey with the secret smushed pill folded inside, and down Finney's hatch it would go. I've got my fingers crossed - please let me know if it works ... Luvs, Poo

Ohai, Koz! I saw your lol about poor Ripper not wanting his medicines, an I'm saying prayers. When my little Finnegan was sick, I tried EVERYTHING to get him to take his medicine; Pill Pockets, expensive gushy food, everything. A friend where I work (pet products company) suggested I grind up his pills and wrap them in bits of sliced deli turkey. Finnegan gobbled up the turkey AND the medicine. I don't know if it would work for Ripper but thought I'd send a little note your way. You and Ripper are in my prayers, k? Luvs, Poo

In case you didn't see it...latest update on my back. A bit more reassuring, this time! (Although I'm STILL begging for prayers...sorry.) Hope our Ripper is doing better, and maybe eating. That's always the scariest part of an animal being ill...when they refuse to eat! Anyway, here you go... http://cheezburger.com/view.aspx?aid3409244416

PART 2: Another thing...according to my vet, this stuff basically NEVER gets "old" or "goes bad". Our tube is 4 years "out of date" and still good! Anyway, it will get nutrients into him, and maybe even increase his appetite! Have you gotten any test results back, yet? You take care of you both!!! {{{{{{{{{{LOVE 4 KERRY & RIPPER}}}}}}}}}} Gwyn

Do NOT know how I could have been so stupid! GET SOMETHING CALLED "NUTRI-CAL"!! It's a gel, in a tube, GOOD flavor, and so darn packed with vitamins and nutrients, that the cat could almost live on it! AND...MOST cats it makes HUNGRY!!! Squeeze about a half-inch to an inch out onto your finger, and either put it in Ripper's mouth, or (if he spits it back out) smear it around his mouth, so he'll lick it up, cleaning his mouth. You can also mix powdered meds with it. You can get it at your vets, or at places like PetsMart or Southern Agriculture...call and get prices. (Our vet is cheaper!) Tiger got to where Rich could hold up the open tube, and squeeze, and Tiger would lick it straight off the end of the tube!

You know what Kerry. Most people cannot afford dental care for their pets and I was damn sorry I put Camille through a teeth cleaning when the vet talked me into it. It didn't slow the tooth decay of old age....nor did using a hard dental care kibble in combo with her other foods. Camille was so sick after being put under anasthesia to have her teeth cleaned. Of course, being her, she played the guilt up. She refused to let me clean her teeth in any manner though I have friends who have had some success using a thin strip of rough cloth like terry and using a tuna flavored cleanser. Most things that people need to do hygenically for their cats need to be started when they are kittens...that includes teeth cleaning, baths, nail clipping....or non hygenic, like going for rides in cars or using a harness to go for walkies. Even still, kittens started out like that often reject the routines as they get older because cats are the most wonderful, stubborn, self willed beasties in the

We should set up a time to talk about the homeopathy. Need to do it on the phone so I can ask some questions...what I will try and do is have you use my loggin to my homeopathy meteria medica site. Have no idea if it will allow me to be signed in on two different computers at the same time but we can try. Sunday in the afternoon is good for me, Monday night possible. Sis is planning on taking car away from folks before she leves and guess who gets stuck with aftermath. Rip likes Tiger....a lot....seems bemused by the kits... loves camille..like that is a surprise..but Tig is not being jealous

How's our Ripper-boy doing? Tiger says he'll be fine, but you know cats...their idea of "fine" isn't always ours! Email me, girl! mamagwyn@yahoo.com

I know it is....and apparently mamagwyn's Tiger is trying to convince Rip to take his medicine. Camille is assisting....by at least amplifying the energy work and not telling Rip to stick to his guns. We are trying to keep the kitten squad away they have discovered the ability to travel and visit. Oy!
