Indeed I did watch Dr. Who last evening. I was very pleasantly surprised with Matt Smith's performance. But then again, I suppose that I'm a diehard Tom Baker fan. At any rate, it's the Doctor's regeneration that allows the series to keep going - and that's a good thing! Look for David Tennant in Hamlet on your local PBS later this month. And here's some more news ... http://www.david-tennant.com/2009/id150.html
Ooh, I will say hi to TampaAnne if I see her! Thanks! We nerds have to stick together.
Happy Valentines day! Thanks for friending me. I saw on your profile that you are a Doctor Who fan, and I had to say hi. I am actually doing a study on Doctor Who fan communities for a class I'm taking this semester. So fun! I can't wait for the next series!
Thanks for your message - I think I'm probably a bit over sensitive today - lack of sleep and pain. I just get rather fed up with the assumption that everyone has a partner. My bank keep sending insurance offers "for you and your partner" even though I have begged them not to. My late husband's firm sent me an invitation to the annual pensioners' lunch asking me to name my partner - it still hurts even after almost 18 years.

Ohai ai iz bout haf wai up teh stait on teh wes side. Sandpoint iz in teh north. [lolspeap off] Anyway I am on the Salmon River near White Bird, Idaho about 1/2 way from Boise to Sandpoint (loosely speaking). I've been retired since '93, forced retirement (Disability) bad knee injured when I was an instructor at the fire academy, then reinjured in a fall. I love retirement, I can hunt and fish as much as I want, knee permitting, but have noticed that someone keeps making the ground steeper and rougher between hunting seasons.
Hi Sharon. Last evening's DW was terrific, sad and joyful all at the same time. The writing was superb, but David Tennant's acting was supreme! Having viewed several incarnations, I can only say that the Doctor's character grows with every new actor to take on the role. We'll have to wait and see, I suppose. Meanwhile, please don't forget to let me know when you learn what Mr. Tennant's new series will be.
Well done! There's lots there and it's very helpful with all sorts of tricks. Happy new year to you too!

Please ket me know when you learn in which new program Tennant will be appearing. Meanwhile, I'll have my tissues at hand next Saturday evening!

OK, saw Part 1 of the End Of Time; Part Two will be the tear-jerker. I agree with you that David Tennant's performance will be very difficult to top. However, Tennant will be able to pursue other roles and I suspect that we'll see great things from him before too long.
